New Company Aims to Revolutionize Airborne Video
Online, June 3, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Recently founded, Rugged Video LLC of Mequon, WI, has big plans for the future of Airborne Video. Over the next several weeks, Rugged Video will be releasing a wave of airborne cameras, recorders, and video systems that will change the way pilots and operators use video as a tool. What makes Rugged Video revolutionary is not the technology itself but the way products are developed. Co-Founder Roy Dietsch explains more:
"Aviation as a whole is generally slow to adopt new technology and for good reason. Installations can be time consuming and operations are usually critical. If equipment is unreliable, it not only wastes time and money but could compromise the goals of the mission."
What Rugged Video plans to do is adapt the methods of the lean development model to bring technology to the aviation industry faster through the rapid improvement of reliability. Roy explains:
"Working hand in hand with customers, we can develop products to meet the exact form, fit, and function for an application, while mitigating any future issues in the design process. We are essentially solving any possible reliability or functionality issues while in the design process."
This process will allow Rugged Video to develop and integrate new technology into the aviation industry at a much faster rate with much higher reliability than in years past.
Rugged Video was founded by Roy Dietsch and Jimmy Crawford who've helped shape the airborne video industry over the past decade. The mission of Rugged Video is to create high value video solutions that are easy of use, reliable, and have robust feature sets through a customer-centric development and innovation process.
Over the next few weeks, Rugged Video will be releasing a line of solutions for Flight Tours, Geospatial, Airborne Law Enforcement, and Mission Recording/Debriefing applications. For more Information visit www.ruggedvid.com
