WineGavel's June 29th Fine Wine Auction Features Wines for Both New and Seasoned Investors

WineGavel will host an exciting live auction featuring a plethora of wines that are mixed between affordable selections for wine auction novices to highly sought after vintages for the seasoned collector.

For the first time ever, WineGavel will offer a new lecture component to the auction designed to educate those interested in venturing into wine investments.

The auction, taking place at The Village Pub in Woodside, will showcase a special lecture from Jason Alexander, a wine expert who will be speaking about the trends in wine investments, risks and returns, and specific vintages that are estimated to net the highest profits. WineGavel will also host be offering a special four course dinner from the a Michelin star rated restaurant, which includes champagne reception and pre-auction tasting for $125.

Over the last five years, the Liv-ex Fine Wine 100, which tracks the price of the world's most sought-after wines, has outperformed leading benchmarks, including the FTSE 100 - rising 62% over the period, and 15% in the last two years. In recent years, the finest of Bordeaux returned more than an investment in gold or oil.

Some of the featured wines will include a very rare 80's Chateau Le Pin, Domaine Romanee-Conti and the largest bottle ever produced of Marques Murrietta Rioja Castillo y Gay Gran Reserva Especial.

WineGavel hosts online auctions and live auctions throughout the Bay Area. Every single bottle offered is thoroughly inspected and of sound provenance.
