New Book "There Ain't No God In Church No More" Addresses Church Tribulations
Online, September 14, 2010 (Newswire.com) - In his latest book enthused by true experiences - "There ain't no God in Church no more" - the author (JP Roelofse) takes the reader on a thought provoking - yet ironically true - journey examining some of the major brokenness, enticements and charlatanism we see in our modern day churches of all denomination all over the world.
The author himself had been involved in the church and praise-and-worship for more than a decade. In this book, JP Roelofse is not trying to give answers to all the issues and wrongs found in modern day churches, but rather to leave the reader with food for thought and to raise some provoking questions regarding the religious practices found in all churches of all denominations all over the world.
The author beliefs that the worst "enemies" of the church are those members - in which category he would place himself - who knows too much about the "church". "Church members who know too much - are those who have seen the deceitfulness and hideousness in church; who have witnessed the perpetuation of spurious religious practices and spiritual treachery; and who have experienced the egocentric gluttony of churches and church leaders", says the author. "It seems that the church has forsaken God to the extent that God has left our church buildings, and only institutionalized religious and economical practices are left".
This book promises to be both controversial and relevant and addresses real issues in the church as personally experienced and witnessed by the author. The author explained the drive behind this book: "In retrospect, most or all of my knowledge was either built by a positive teaching, a constructive contribution or a negative experience - which in all instances led to me knowing more about faith and Christianity, but ultimately knowing more about God and His Word. These led to me understanding and knowledge on why there are so many warnings and cautions in the Bible and being appreciative of the admonitions of the Holy Spirit."
JP Roelofse is a dedicated and passionate family man; poet, play- & songwriter; author and writer; and part time musician. Apart from his well known publications in the business world, he has also published two poetry collections and numerous articles (more information on the http://jpr.yolasite.com).
"The topics and deliberations in my book might be perceived as a gross generalization and over exaggeration - but is actually just minuscule in defining the church's gross tribulations. The church has shown its readiness and willingness to compromise God and Salvation for the sake of doctrinal ideology and worldly theology. For as much as we are expectant to spread the True Word of God's Gospel to all nations, we should be fervent to spread the word when God's Truths are veiled in that same Gospel", said JP Roelofse.
