New Age Rapper A.B. Gets Listeners Intoxicated with New Release "D.R.U.G.S."

Kansas Native and "Billboard Magazine: Artist To Watch" Slings Dope New Release "Drinking Recreationally Under God's Supervision"

Kansas native and newcomer, A.B., is getting listeners intoxicated today thanks to the release of his Summer anthem, “D.R.U.G.S. (Driving Recreationally Under God’s Supervision).  The fresh lyricist, who has been helmed by Billboard Magazine as an “artist to watch” and even caught the eye of Grammy Award winning rapper Chamillionaire, in 2009 during his infamous freestyle contest, is taking the industry by any dreams necessary.

“Everybody has a certain thing that they get a rush or high from,” says A.B. who now currently resides in Dallas, TX.  “Whether it's working out, watching Monday Night Football, smoking tree, or drinking recreationally with friends. Whatever you choose is up to you. Too much of one thing can be bad for you, but you can't ever get enough of this project. My story touches every walk of life. It's about real life struggles and everyday interaction with the real world, so people can relate to it,” a story A.B. is not afraid to share.

"I am going to seize every moment and let it become my reality rather than just a dream."

Born to a Caucasian mother and African American father – who left before A.B. (born Aaron Bell) could speak – A.B. watched his mother struggle to raise three kids with an addiction.  Constantly moving around, losing custody of her children and being in and out of jail twice, domestic violence and drug abuse were a common theme in the Bell household until one night A.B.’s mother’s addiction almost took her life.

“I remember finding my mother on the ground unconscious after taking half a bottle of Adderall medication,” states A.B.  “I tried waking her up by shaking and yelling at her vigorously but she would not move.”

An eight-year-old A.B. quickly dialed 911 and paramedics arrived on the scene in time to pump the drugs out of her system.  Had A.B. called a second later, the medics said she would not have survived.  Two years later, A.B.’s mother agreed to seek professional treatment and sent A.B. to live with her parents.  Under the care of his grandparents, A.B. learned how to be a gentleman and channel his built up anger.  A.B. began to escape reality by writing Sci-Fi stories, which led to him discovering a nature talent for writing lyrics.

“Writing has always been my stronghold and journal to let my life out on,” says A.B.  “I learned how to put my life in my music and that’s when I knew this is what I was put on this planet for.  Music is timeless, I can't live forever but my music can.  I want to help children who had the same situation as me growing up. I want them to know no matter how bad a situation is you can rise up from that and break the cycle.  The choice is yours.”

A.B.’s choice is music.  His first release is as intoxicating as it sounds.  “Like balloons just let go/Now we high as Petrol/My heart beat in my chest slow/This Tupac mixed with Death Row”, spits AB on the high-octane track that is certain to have the heat and radio rising this summer.  With a major release featuring production from heavy hitters Chizzy (J.Lo, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber), Sebastian Jones (Kat Deluna), Silent Mike (Rich Homie Quan, Trinidad James, Machine Gun Kelly), A.B. plans to knock the walls of the industry down.

“I am going to seize every moment and let it become my reality rather than just a dream,” proclaims AB.  “Welcome to my world.”
