NeSmith Walker Participates in Wayne County 'Buy Local' Campaign

Online, November 15, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Chad NeSmith, General Manager of NeSmith Walker Chevrolet Buick Pontiac GMC in Jesup, announced today that he is partnering with the Wayne County Chamber and the Industrial Development Authority to promote "buying local." NeSmith is the Vice-Chairman of the Community Development Committee. The committee's objective is to spur economic development and to enhance the quality of life in the community by keeping businesses open and growing which in turn helps stimulate the Wayne County sales tax.
NeSmith-Walker is partnering with the Chamber to cover the initial start-up costs of the program. The goal is to keep costs to a minimum and to create a program that is easy and a smart way to support local merchants while providing a unique gift for the holidays and throughout the year. This fall, they are launching a Gift Card program which will work just like a regular gift card except it will only be redeemable at local businesses.
