Neiss Named Deputy Commissioner of North American Lacrosse League
Online, May 17, 2011 (Newswire.com) - New York, N.Y. - North American Lacrosse League (NALL) Commissioner Phil Evans formally named Scott Neiss to the NALL Deputy Commissioner post on Tuesday. In his new position, Neiss will oversee all league operations, including scheduling, review of all games for overall quality, as well as player and officiating matters. He will also work closely with Commissioner Evans on league business and marketing for the newly formed professional indoor lacrosse league.

Over the past eight years, Neiss served as an executive for the National Lacrosse League (NLL), where he focused on operational aspects such as scheduling, officiating, and player contracts, as well as key elements of the league's advertising and media programs, including sponsorship fulfillment and web development.

A native of Oceanside, New York, Neiss is heavily involved in the international lacrosse community, currently serving as a member of the management group of the United States Men's Indoor Lacrosse Team. He is also a consultant for the Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Program on special projects and is spearheading developmental efforts of the sport in Israel. A graduate of St. John's University in New York, Neiss has previous experience on the professional outdoor lacrosse circuit, performing General Manager duties with the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) for two seasons.
