Neil Diamond - the Tribute Featuring Rob Garrett & the K.O.D Band
As a prelude to Neil Diamond's 74th birthday and world tour, America's #1 Neil Diamond tribute artist, ROB GARRETT & his K.O.D BAND will make their debut at Green Valley Ranch Resort/Casino this Saturday, January 17th.
Las Vegas, NV, January 14, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Legendary singer/songwriter/composer Neil Diamond will turn 74 on January 24th and is scheduled to begin a world tour about 1 month afterwards. Surprisingly, Las Vegas is not presently listed as one of his stops. However, local fans of Diamond will be able to catch the gentleman who most agree is the next best thing to the real thing.
Last May, over 2000 patrons turned out to see Garrett perform his highly acclaimed show at the Texas Station Hotel & Casino. Now, for his first show of 2015, Garrett & band will attempt to fill the 2000 seat Grand Events Center of GVR. Rob Garrett has has had a long, prolific, career as a Las Vegas entertainer. He began performing with his band, ROCK N ROLL HEAVEN in 1980 working bars, clubs, lounges, & even some showrooms before he ultimately decided to change the direction of his career by becoming a Neil Diamond tribute artist for Legends in Concert in 1995. He worked on and off for "Legends" for about 5 years before going off on his own, traveling around the country (sometimes the world), becoming one of the most popular, respected, tribute acts in the industry and earning the title "King of Diamonds".
