Tom Boucher, owner and CEO of Great NH Restaurants was recently appointed by the National Restaurant Association Board of Directors, to serve as a Trustee on the NRA Education Foundation. Boucher will serve for two years beginning January 2, 2015.  The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation was founded in 1987 with the mission to better inform the public about the abundant opportunities that exist within the restaurant and foodservice industry, and to assist in the creation of programs to train and develop future members of the industry.  This public service effort strives to make a positive contribution in communities throughout the nation.   Since 1997, the NRAEF has awarded $14 million in scholarships.

Foundation efforts include education, scholarships and continuing education programs to enhance and promote the development of the best and brightest talent. The restaurant industry employs almost 10 percent of the U.S. workforce – which is nearly 13 million people. “I am honored to be appointed to serve on this national foundation. I hope to bring insight home to benefit the New Hampshire hospitality industry,” comments Boucher. Boucher also currently serves on the National Restaurant Association’s Board of Directors.
