CINCINNATI, September 11, 2018 (Newswire.com) - National Black MBA Association® (NBMBAA®), the premier business organization serving Black professionals, and The Devine Group Inc., an innovative behavioral assessment and development organization, have formed a strategic alliance to infuse the science of predictive talent analytics in leadership development and advancement of NBMBAA’s top talent.
NBMBAA®, in coordination with four corporate sponsors - Johnson & Johnson, UPMC, Liberty Mutual and LVMH - launched the new Gold Key Program initiative using The Devine Group’s leadership behavioral assessment to evaluate and provide leadership development feedback to nearly 2,500 members. This new analytic approach supports the advancement of each participating member but also provides objective hiring information to the sponsors. The Devine approach is highly advanced in the field of psychometric assessments in that it begins with the development and refinement of the required leadership competencies for members to achieve positions at sponsor organizations.
“Gold Key is a product created to meet the demands of our members as well as corporate partners to connect the supply and demand for high-quality director-level and above talent. The partnership between NBMBAA and The Devine Group has facilitated the timely introduction of this product to the market,” said Jesse Tyson, president and CEO of NBMBAA®.
“The National Black MBA Association understands that identifying, hiring, supporting and developing the best senior talent is crucial for any company. In launching the Gold Key Program, the NBMBAA is uniquely poised to assist entrepreneurs, corporations, universities and members with their talent acquisition and development efforts,” said David Devine, CEO of The Devine Group.
“As a former career coach, I am excited about the benefit that the partnership with The Devine Group provides to our members and corporate partners of the Gold Key Access® program. The ability to identify strengths as it relates to specific positions allows members to better articulate their unique selling proposition. In addition, the ability to pinpoint growth areas and talk through improvement strategies with a coach is pivotal to members obtaining their next desired positions and succeeding,” said Paula Fontana, vice president of strategic program initiatives of NBMBAA®.
“The Devine Group purposefully supports the NBMBAA and their partners in building highly impactful senior leadership teams by matching the right, internal or external, senior talent to their organization’s open positions,” said Gary Dent, managing member of Devine Talent Management.
This strategic alliance is timely as the labor market continues to tighten and it is increasingly difficult to identify and successfully match senior diverse leadership.
