NANOG Signs a Memorandum of Understanding With Internet Society + ICANN
ANN ARBOR, Mich., September 29, 2021 (Newswire.com) - In the spirit of community and cooperation, NANOG has signed Memorandum of Understandings with both ICANN and the Internet Society. In addition to our long-standing relationship with the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), NANOG (the North American Network Operators' Group, Inc.) would like to also announce a new partnership with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Internet Society.
"In an effort to better serve our communities in North America, we have entered into a collaboration to combine resources and skills," NANOG executive director, Edward McNair said.
ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. ISOC's mission supports and promotes the development of the Internet as global technical infrastructure, a resource to enrich people's lives, and a force for good in society.
These partnerships will help realize common objectives, promote collaboration, and strengthen the outreach efforts of all the organizations involved.
