Namecheap Tackles SXSWi With "Where's Wesley?" Challenge

Domain company gives away free domains and Amazon Echos to sharp-eyed SXSW attendees

Namecheap, the fastest growing domain registrar in the world, today announced the company will be giving away free domain names and Amazon Echos to SXSWi attendees through their “Where’s Wesley?” challenge.

Attendees that find Wesley dressed in the famous “Where’s Waldo” costume can take a picture of him and post it on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram with the hashtag #NCSXSW and get a free credit for a domain. Five lucky SXSW goers who manage to snap a photo of him will also win an Amazon Echo.

“This is our first time at a major tech event, so we wanted to make it count,” stated Wesley Faulkner, the face of this promo and the Director of Social Media at Namecheap. “Our fan base loves our social media giveaways -- we figured this promo would be a hit here too.”

Namecheap has been growing rapidly within tech circles, mostly based on positive reviews on social media and in industry publications like Lifehacker. This “Best Kept Secret” is becoming popular based on better customer service, lower prices and top level corporate principles.

For those not attending South by Southwest Interactive who also want to win an Amazon Echo, simply follow the hashtag #NCSXSW on Twitter and retweet your favorite picture of Wesley for a chance to win.
