MythWurks Corporation To Fully Cease Operations In 2013
Online, January 15, 2013 (Newswire.com) - After twenty plus years of publishing, MythWurks Corporation (formally Dark Myth Production Studios) has announced they will cease operations indefinitely following the release of the company's two final productions in 2013.
The first project, headed by G.IS.G Heavenly Publications (a MythWurks' owned company) will release this year, "Spiritual Awakening," an anthology filled with faith and redemption.
Later this year, they will present "The Evolution of MythWurks," a nonfiction book which covers the company's amazing twenty year history; beginning with the launch in 1992, to the closing months of 2012.
"This isn't the final good-bye," said David K. Montoya, Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of MythWurks Corporation. "We're just taking a much needed break from things. Eventually, we'll be back with something new and fresh once again. But, for now we all must say thank you for your loyalty and promise to return."
The announcement also accompanies news that the company's Chief Operating Officer and Editor in Chief, Terry D. Scheerer, has announced his retirement from the company after a nine year run. Also, the G.IS.G Editor in Chief and Managing Editor of The World of Myth Magazine, Sarah Basore (AKA Sara Saint John), will also be leaving following the release of "Spiritual Awakening."
The company's on-line store, "MythMart", will continue to offer MythWurks owned products and other merchandise from other independent creators, as a General Manager (who has yet to be announced) will oversee the operation of that division.
MythWurks begin in 1992 as Lifesigns Studios, as founder David K. Montoya produced what he called 'makeshift' comic books. Over the past two decades the company grew into what would become MythWurks Corporation, a publisher of novels, anthologies, comic books, on-line entertainment, and its own line of apparel.
Montoya and Scheerer won't be gone from the public view, however, as the two are part of a podcasting network called JayZoModcast (www.jayzomon.com/jayzomodcast/).
