Myrtle Beach Black Chamber Acquires Myrtlebeachsouthcarolina.Com

The Myrtle Beach Black Chamber of Commerce announces the launch of its new national tourism site, MyrtleBeachSouthCarolina.com

The Myrtle Beach Black Chamber announced today its acquisition and mid-May launch of the 2015 Travel Destination Website, MyrtleBeachSouthCarolina.com.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to promote our new MyrtleBeachSouthCarolina.com website to the 5 million black tourists who already visit Myrtle Beach annually,” said Melanie Holmes, of the Myrtle Beach Black Chamber Board of Directors.  “We believe MyrtleBeachSouthCarolina.com among the strongest named promotional products in market.  It clearly identifies our brand.  It is easy to remember.  Our ability to brand-imprint this name with the Myrtle Beach area for tourism will allow us the best use of every promotional dollar for our hotel, restaurant, and retail members as studies have shown it to have a high consumer retention rate.”  Holmes added.

The Myrtle Beach Black Chamber of Commerce desires to promote the brand as an “Official Myrtle Beach Tourism Website.”  The group said it will meet with city leaders to ensure that no conflicts exist in promoting MBBC’s tourism site this way.

The Myrtle Beach Black Chamber will hold its grand opening this May 5, 2015.  The organization now has an office open. The purpose of MBBC is to grow and build upon the base of black tourists  who visit the Myrtle Beach area.  Currently over 5 million black tourists visit annually contributing $5 Billion to the local economy.

The Myrtle Beach Black Chamber was given some financial assistance from anonymous members of the Republicans for Black Empowerment this past February.  The Myrtle Beach Black Chamber also received some funding from more left leaning individuals who made this launch and acquisition possible.   The Myrtle Beach Black Chamber has also applied for marketing funds from the City of Myrtle Beach’s 1% ad tax funding.  A membership drive is now ongoing city wide.
