Mykilim Partners With Melissa Mitchell to Release an Exclusive Handbag Collection Supporting Women

Two socially aware brands collaborate to create handcrafted purses benefiting and employing female Moroccan artists to be sold worldwide

Mykilim, a Moroccan leather goods brand is proud to announce its latest collaboration with Melissa Mitchell, an Atlanta-based artist, to create handmade and beautifully crafted handbags in support of women empowerment and female Moroccan artisans. The limited-edition collection officially launches today and is available at www.mykilimshop.us. This international partnership celebrates the power of diversity by mixing both Western and Eastern world cultures and materials. As the fashion industry continues to change in today’s climate, the two powerhouse brands are working together to be inclusive of everyone, while uplifting others.

With much success from Mykilim’s Rocky Barnes collaboration earlier this year, the company reached out to Melissa as she’s an artist known for transforming her unique designs into scarves, leggings, head wraps, and custom pieces housed all around the world. She’s quickly becoming a sought-after designer, well-known Black female entrepreneur and pioneer in modern-day abstract artistry. Melissa believes that Mykilim is the perfect company to purposefully showcase her work -- both rooted in their desire to empower women around the world. They are committed to leading by example and inspiring others to follow their passions and cultivate their dreams.

The sustainable handbags will be manufactured by Moroccan craftswomen available in various styles and patterns. Mykilim and Melissa are eager to inspire the world to express themselves through one-of-a-kind fashion and spread positivity through vivid colors and abstract designs.
