Mustang Survival Introduces Improved First Responder Water Rescue Kit

Mustang Survival introduces improved First Responder Water Rescue Kit, upgraded to include an M.I.T. 100 Inflatable PFD.

Mustang Survival is pleased to announce that the First Responder Water Rescue Kit (MRK110) has been updated to include an M.I.T. 100 Inflatable PFD, replacing the belt pack inflatable. The M.I.T. 100 provides added safety and performance features over the belt pack.

"We are excited to introduce an upgraded Rescue Kit to the law enforcement community," comments Ivon Paulin, Business Development Manager for Mustang Survival. "Many drowning and water rescue incidents occur near shore in Municipal Parks and recreation areas where police vehicles are often the first on scene. The Water Rescue Kit is a cost effective solution to increase officer safety and improve their ability to perform a rescue and secure the victim until rescue units arrive on scene."

The Water Rescue Kit contains everything the first responder needs to conduct a basic emergency water rescue:

• An M.I.T. 100 Inflatable PFD (MD2014) to protect the officer. The M.I.T. 100 is a collar-style PFD that inflates manually when the activation cord is pulled.

• A patented Rescue Stick™ (MRD100) to stabilize the victim. The Rescue Stick™ is a high-accuracy, throwable buoyancy aid that inflates automatically upon water contact.

• A Throw Bag (MRD175) to retrieve the victim. The throw bag includes 75' of floating polypropylene rope.

• A drop-tested, impact resistant, air and watertight Pelican™ case. This case meets military, ATA and federal specifications.

The MRK110 Water Rescue Kit will be available at select dealers in summer of 2013.
