Movie Site Showcases HD Indy Films at Rock Bottom Prices - Some Free

ClickFlick.com, a video-on-demand startup with more than 1,200 films available, is attempting to corner the market for free and inexpensive movie downloads to adventurous film aficionados.

NEW CANAAN, CT, Dec. 2, 2009 - ClickFlick.com, a video-on-demand startup with more than 1,200 films available, is attempting to corner the market for free and inexpensive movie downloads to adventurous film aficionados.

"My content includes more than 800+ older public domain movies, and 300 to 400 newer independent movies," said founder Glen Cohen. "Many of the movies are free, and those that are in HD are 99 cents apiece. That's a fraction of the price you'd pay for the same movies anywhere else."

In addition to established movies, ClickFlick.com is focusing on offerings from independent film makers, who Cohen feels are often ignored. Film makers can submit their films for review; if accepted, the films are posted on the site and producers and directors are compensated for video-on-demand downloads.

In addition to mainstream movie lovers who want to download free movies, ClickFlick.com expects to draw in dedicated viewers looking for easy access to films showcasing cutting-edge techniques and themes.

"This site is meant for true movie lovers who want to download free, high-quality movies," said Cohen. "We know the market for movies is huge, and customers have demonstrated that they are willing to experiment with different delivery vehicles to save money. I'm looking for investors who see an opportunity to capture this vital industry segment."
