Motorola Atrix HD Review
Online, August 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The Motorola Atrix HD is the next generation of the Motorola Atrix line. Instead of trying to one-up the previous Atrix, Motorola made this one available to the masses while still providing high-end features. The selling point of the Atrix HD is the screen. The 4.5 inch HD 720x1280 ColorBoost TFT screeen with 326ppi is incredible. Incredibly bright colors, crisp details and sharp lines, this screen won't disappoint. It is also very responsive and easy to get to the apps or widgets you need. Motorola doesn't have an official UI over Android 4.0 ICS, however, it does have some added customization options.
When you start the Atrix HD you're given 2 home screens with the option to add up to 5 more. Time, weather, battery meter, data consumption and settings are in circle widgets on the main home screen. The rest of the phone is basically vanilla Android. Typing messages, email and browsing the web is incredibly easy with the large digital keyboard. The 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM offers about average speeds for higher end phones, so the Android's $99 sale price is a steal. The Atrix HD's 8 megapixel camera has tons of options, including multi-shot burst mode, and HD video capture. On the back of the phone is a Kevlar coating, making the back indestructible, and also making the battery irremovable.
We recommend having a cover for the Atrix HD, making the phone easier to grip, adding some extra protection, and gives the phone some personality.
