More Than 3,000 People From About 40 Countries Will Take Part in the Arctic: Territory of Dialogue Forum

Arctic: Territory of Dialogue forum

Development of municipalities in the Russian Arctic zone, higher living standards and infrastructure projects will be on agenda of the Arctic: Territory of Dialogue international forum, due in St. Petersburg on April 9-10, organized by Roscongress.

Organizers expecting high profile participants at St. Petersburg this April. Earlier President of Finland Sauli Niinistö and Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg would be attending Arctic Forum.

“President Niinistö will indeed participate in the Arctic Forum,” says Communication Specialist Rikkka Hietajärvi. Climate changes and a strategy to tackle black carbon are the main pressing issues on President Sauli Niinistö’s Arctic agenda.

A series of cultural events for guests and participants will be held as part of the International Arctic Forum. Forum guests will be able to attend the ‘Living Arctic Legend’ traveling exhibition dedicated to the Icebreaker Krasin, meet the artists behind the winning films of the 2nd ARCTIC OPEN Arctic Countries International Film Festival, and learn the histories of the people linked to the development of the Russian Arctic and the Northern Sea Route. St. Petersburg’s major theatres, museums, and exhibitions will also present their own cultural programmes.

About the forum

The International Arctic Forum - Arctic: Territory of Dialogue - is a key platform for discussing the Arctic region’s problems and development at the international level. The event was organized for the first time in 2010. The 5th “Arctic: Territory of Dialogue” International Arctic Forum will take place in St. Petersburg on April 9-10, 2019.
