BIRMINGHAM, Ala., August 10, 2022 (Newswire.com) - In an effort to better serve its professional drivers, Montgomery Transportation Group is pleased to announce its investment in a new 4,500-square-foot fitness and recreational facility at their Birmingham terminal, as well as affordable, comprehensive healthcare options.
"We are fully committed to the health and well-being of our drivers and are excited to see this come together for them in the coming months," said Jake Contorno, Chief Operating Officer of Montgomery Transportation Group.
The new MTG Rec Facility will house state-of-the-art workout equipment, including interactive treadmills, elliptical machines, upright bikes, lifting and stretch machines, free weights, and more. Additionally, the facility will contain laundry machines, showers, ping pong tables, air hockey, and TVs for the drivers to enjoy. Workstations with computers and desks will complete the space, giving drivers a comfortable space to reap the benefits while visiting their home away from home.
Continuing their commitment to their drivers' health, Montgomery Transportation Group offers their over-the-road, dedicated and local company drivers competitive healthcare and dental plans. Furthermore, the company will be partnering with Intercept RX to provide drivers with prescription deliveries to their door, as well as Teladoc® remote doctor visits so drivers can stay healthy on the road. While healthcare costs have more than doubled over the last several years, Montgomery has not passed on any of these increases to their drivers to ensure they can continue to provide for their families.
