Minority In-House Counsel Association Announces 2nd Conference

MIHCA'S Conference to Feature Renowned Harvard Business School Professor Steven Rogers and a Host of Business Leaders

The Minority In-House Counsel Association will host its second conference on September 9-11, 2015 at the Renaissance Blackstone Chicago Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.  Registration for the conference is open on MIHCA’s website at http://www.mymihca.org/programming/.

The Keynote Speaker for the Conference is Professor Steven Rogers, Senior Lecturer of Business Administration at Harvard Business School.  In addition to his distinguished academic work at Harvard Business School and the Kellogg School of Management, Professor Rogers has extensive experience in the business world.  He has owned and operated to manufacturing firms and one retail operation.  He previously worked at Bain and Company and Cummins Engine.  Professor Rogers currently serves on the Advisory Board of private equity firm OCA Ventures and is a Member of the Board of Directors for S.C. Johnson Wax, W.S. Darley & Company and Oakmark Capital Mutual Funds.  Professor Rogers will discuss the necessity of in-house lawyers having business skills and an understanding of how their work relates to organizational strategies.

In addition to Professor Rogers, the conference features a full slate of cutting-edge CLE sessions, a CEO Panel to included Gary McCullough of ARI Packaging Inc., Mark Wilson, President and CEO of E-Verifile and Andrea Zopp, former CEO of the Chicago Urban League and current candidate for U.S. Senate.

Throughout the conference, numerous opportunities will exist for attendees to network with peers from major corporate law departments and distinguished outside counsel.
