Minding Your Matters Organizer Named "Volunteer of the Year"

Minding Your Matters Professional Organizer Kc Coolbaugh was named "Volunteer of the Year" by the ICD, a professional association that seeks to benefit people affected by chronic disorganization.

CARY, N.C. -- A Minding Your Matters® Senior Organizing Consultant has been awarded a special honor by the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD), the organizing and productivity firm announced today. Kc Coolbaugh was named "Volunteer of the Year" by the ICD, a professional association that seeks to benefit people affected by chronic disorganization.

According to ICD Board President Kathy Trezise, the "Volunteer of the Year" Award is given to those who provide "exceptional service" to ICD's subscribers. Coolbaugh was presented with the award during the recent ICD conference in Raleigh.

Since joining ICD in 2006, Kc has volunteered in a variety of capacities within the industry association. The past two years she has been a vital member of the Teleclass Team, recruiting and scheduling professionals to provide a diverse offering of teleclass topics related to working with clients with chronic disorganization. Coolbaugh has never failed to step in when needed, regardless of the task, from helping out with hotel check-ins at conferences to realigning ICD educational manuals. She has also served as ICD's ambassador to the National Association of Professional Organizers-NC chapter for years.

"Kc really does live and breathe ICD. She talks about it with both organizers and with clients. She feels the education is invaluable and thus she supports it with volunteering," said Janice Russell, owner of Minding Your Matters®.

"Our mission is the same as that of ICD: to help those who suffer from chronic disorganization find the solutions to live a more organized and happy life," Russell said. "We are very proud of Kc's contribution to ICD and privileged to have her as a member of our organizing team."
