Mick Rodgers and Axial Benefits Group (ABG), a full-service benefits management company, was awarded the 2018 Summit Award by the Association for Insurance Leadership at the Ascend Agency Growth and Leadership Summit in Nashville, Tennessee on Jan. 20, 2018.

The Summit Award is the Association for Insurance Leadership’s highest honor and recognizes the employee benefits agency that demonstrates unmatched excellence as a NextGeneration Benefits firm, providing superior, more cost-effect benefits plans for employers and enhanced benefits for employees.

ABG received the award for its groundbreaking achievements in Healthcare Purchasing Coalitions (HPCs). These groups have leveraged the power of numbers approach and other captive techniques within a proven, enhanced management framework. Last year, ABG returned $3.2M in unused premiums to its coalition members while providing robust benefits plans at about 40 percent of the cost of the national average. In addition to growing its current independent HPCs, Axial launched The Alliance Healthcare Coalition in 2017 and continues to elevate its processes and practices through continuous improvement and partner integration.
