Michigan Creative Welcomes New Interns to the Team
Online, July 12, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Local marketing and video company, Michigan Creative, welcomed four new interns to its staff earlier this summer. Owner and CEO, Brian Town, started his internship program one year ago. He said, "I wanted to create an internship where a student could feel like they make a difference and where they can personally help local businesses" when asked about why he started the program. He aims to grow the program each semester and is constantly looking for new team members.
The business brought on two video interns, Andrew and Luke, back in June. Both are students at Michigan State University where they are in the telecom program. They are eager to work on client videos and continue to learn every day. Town also added a graphic design major, Cassie, to the team. Cassie is interested in both graphic design and advertising and is quick to jump on new client projects. A social media intern, Sheryl, was also an addition to Michigan Creative this summer. Sheryl dove into blogging and doing social media for clients head first. All interns are working toward credit at Michigan State and gaining even more in experience along the way.
Besides the four interns, Town also employs several part time workers that act as managers to the team of interns. Brian said, "all the members of my team help to give the interns a great experience and are all great teachers". He went on to say, "interns help keep the knowledge and ideas fresh and new and keep my team on their toes". He also stated that the part-time employees enjoy the challenge of managing their own teams and are always welcome to adding new interns to the mix.
Michigan Creative is a full service video, web, and marketing company. With a strong belief in supporting local businesses, they are always looking to help the next business owner.
