Michael and Kristina Gabelli Make Donation in Support of the Randall's Island Park Alliance

Michael and Kristina Gabelli are proud to announce they have made a $10,000 donation to the Randall’s Island Park Alliance (RIPA), a public-private partnership with the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation that seeks to realize the unique potential of 330 waterfront parkland acres anchoring Manhattan, the Bronx and Queens.

RIPA, founded in 1992, works with the city and local communities to provide an innovative and exciting destination through a wide range of sports venues, cultural events and environmental exploration.

“I am very familiar with Randall’s Island, having played sports and attended various events over the years on the Island,” said Michael Gabelli. “The park is an incredible place to experience outdoor life in the middle of New York City. From the meticulously manicured fields to the robust urban farm to movies under the stars during the summer, Randall’s Island Park is a wondrous playground with a breathtaking view of the city for both kids and adults to enjoy. We are honored to support all of the efforts of RIPA.”

Aimee Boden, president of RIPA, said, “We are grateful to Michael and Kristina for their generous donation. Support from donors like the Gabellis is crucial to our cause and allows Randall’s Island to continue to grow and flourish as one of the city’s premier open spaces.”
