Meridian Health Named One Of FORTUNE'S "100 Best Companies To Work For"
Online, February 10, 2012 (Newswire.com) - FORTUNE announced today that Meridian Health, comprised of Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center, Riverview Medical Center, K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital, Southern Ocean Medical Center, Bayshore Community Hospital and Meridian Partner Companies, for the third straight year has been named to FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For."
To select the 100 Best Companies to Work For, FORTUNE partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America. Two-thirds of a company's score is based on the results of the Institute's Trust Index survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about management's credibility, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The other third of the scoring is based on the company's responses to the Institute's Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefit programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring practices, internal communications, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts.
"For the past three years we have been honored to be selected among some of the nation's top performing and most successful organizations," says John K. Lloyd, FACHE, president of Meridian Health. "This ongoing recognition by FORTUNE is a reflection of our team members' dedication to delivering the best patient experience each and every day."
This exciting news serves as another distinction for Meridian and differentiates us as a true Workplace of Choice. In addition to being named among the FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For, Meridian Health has also been named one of the "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" for seven consecutive years.
The full list of "100 Best Companies to Work For" and related stories will appear in the February 6 issue of FORTUNE, or can be viewed at www.fortune.com/bestcompanies.
