The Merchant Acquirers’ Committee (MAC) is proud to announce the agenda for its 2016 Annual Conference, to be held March 8-10, 2016 at The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The annual event, intended to help educate, and share information among, risk professionals in the payments industry will include speakers on topics ranging from Anti-Money Laundering to the risks of using Affiliate Marketers to Same Day ACH.

The 2016 MAC Conference marks the 9th year of the event and is expected to attract more than 300 attendees.  The MAC Conference is unique among payments conferences in its interactive and collaborative nature.  Risk professionals from across the industry share their experiences about the latest trends, fraud alerts, and the impact of new technologies and business models.   This year’s three-day event will cover a unique topic each day:

March 8, 2016 (Day 1) – Regulatory Compliance related topics will include cybersecurity, Anti-Money Laundering practices, Money Transmitter Laws, EMV, and the Restore Confidence to Online Shoppers Act (RCOSA).

March 9, 2016 (Day 2) – Discussions on Day 2 will feature issues in managing Third Party Risk.  Topics will include Acquirer Risk Programs, Breach Response, Third Party Registration Requirements, Same-day ACH and an update from Visa, Inc®. and MasterCard Worldwide®.

March 10, 2016 (Day 3) – Titled “Tactical MAC”, Day 3 will feature MAC alumni taking on some of the most pressing issues in risk and underwriting in the payments industry.

The program will also include presentations and sessions from a variety of vendors and service providers.  Opportunities for networking are also provided by generous sponsors.

Richard Parrot, President of the Merchant Acquirers’ Committee, is excited about the lineup for this year’s event. “I have been involved in this show since 2007, and every year it gets better.  I am particularly looking forward to hearing timely updates from Lois Greisman at the FTC.”
