The survey was conducted for as many as 7385 shoppers most of whom completed the entire survey of five questions. What's surprising is that astonishing 71 percent respondents currently have an innerspring mattress.What the survey sought to find out was how many of these prospective buyers of memory foam and spring mattressare considering a purchase. The reasons included an uncomfortable mattress causing pain, or making them the users feel hot or even reasons like feeling their partner's movement through the night.
What came out strikingly from the survey was that almost 55 percent of the participants actually get disturbed when their partners flip sides on the mattress during the night. Experts feel that it is essential to get a sound sleep during the night as is also evident from the ongoing research in this area. A real hindrance to a good night's sleep is the disturbance caused by partner's movements. Sleep experts urge that this one thing can cause you to move from deep sleep stage directly the first stage of sleep which is the lightest. The survey also pointed out that close to 47 participants feel hot because of their mattresses. A significant number of respondents also complained that they suffer from backaches and neck pains due to their current mattresses. And nearly half of them are willing to shell out as much as $ 1,000 to purchase a new one which will take care of all these issues.
