Member Engagement Platform Mobilize Acquired by Jive Founder
SAN FRANCISCO, September 27, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Mobilize, the first engagement platform created by, with and for community managers in membership-based organizations, today announced its acquisition by founding Jive Software CEO and serial entrepreneur Dave Hersh, who will assume CEO duties.
Mobilize (mobilize.io) is the leading platform for building modern professional networks. Launched in 2014, Mobilize serves trade associations, nonprofits and corporate communities including The United Nations, Prezi, Docker and Maker Faire.
"Over the past four years, the Mobilize team has worked with some of the most impactful organizations in the world,” said Sharon Savariego, Mobilize co-founder. “We’ve built a solution that has driven massive engagement for thousands of communities worldwide, and we’re excited to partner with Dave to help thousands more. Dave brings deep experience in this space and we have a shared, customer-centric belief around how to build thriving communities.”
Previously an advisor to Mobilize, Hersh will partner closely with Savariego, the company’s founding CEO, and co-founder Arthur Vainer. Savariego and Vainer will continue as chief product officer and chief technology officer, respectively.
"Purpose-driven organizations are more challenged than ever to drive engagement among their members," said Hersh. "The communication tools members have in their consumer lives are vastly better than the antiquated ways organizations are attempting to engage them. Despite the interest in their cause, organizations are falling behind and members are tuning out.
"Mobilize changes that with the first platform to combine a community social space, outreach tools, member directory and CRM in a purpose-built solution that amplifies engagement to fuel member retention and growth. This is a space I know well and there's nothing else like it on the market. We're excited to work with more member-based organizations to accelerate the important work they do," he said.
The combined team plans to add more engagement features and analytics, enterprise functionality for large-scale communities and a team of consulting experts focused only on driving outcomes for customers.
Mobilize will continue to be headquartered in San Francisco, with a research and development team in Tel Aviv.
Mobilize is the leading platform for building modern professional networks. We support more than 1,000 membership-based organizations like trade associations, nonprofits and corporate communities. Mobilize's intuitive, accessible-everywhere interface delivers a seamless member experience across the web, mobile and email for clients including The United Nations, Prezi, Docker and Maker Faire.
