MEGA Electronics Achieves New Certification for UK Standard Plugs
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., August 16, 2017 (Newswire.com) - MEGA Electronics is pleased to announce that their UK standard plugs now carry the G-Mark Certification which is regulated by the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO). This certification is required when importing products into the Gulf States.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is a body consisting of six Arab countries — the State of United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman.
The G-Mark for Low-Voltage Electrical products is regulated by the Gulf Technical Regulation for Low-Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances (BD-142004-01). All low-voltage electrical products being brought into and available in the Gulf States marketplace must have the G-Mark certification. The G Mark approval is accepted in Saudi Arabia in addition to the SASO approval, which is unique to Saudi Arabia.
MEGA Electronics has met these standards and now offers a plug that carries the G-Mark certification which is approved for import into the Gulf States. This same plug meets the UK standard BS1363 and is approved by BSI for use in the UK. MEGA has taken the further step of adding the Spring Mark required in Singapore making it possible to ship one approved cord to all locales using the BS1363 standard.
