'Meet a Scientologist' Crafts Colorful Episode With Tom Rigdon

Faithfully restoring stained-glass window

Scientology Network’s MEET A SCIENTOLOGIST, the weekly series spotlighting the everyday lives of Scientologists from around the world and all walks of life, announces an episode featuring a visionary dedicated to saving the time-honored art of stained glass, Tom Rigdon.

MEET A SCIENTOLOGIST airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Scientology Network.

Tom Rigdon’s thriving studio is in the high-tech heart of Silicon Valley, yet this master craftsman employs a technology more than a thousand years old. Using the original techniques passed down since antiquity, Tom and the Hyland Studio artists hand-cut exquisite stained-glass windows. And in the tradition of master artisan to apprentice, he forwards this craft to the next generation.

ABOUT TOM RIGDON

Attending church as a young boy, Kentucky native Tom Rigdon was inspired by the beauty and emotion imparted by the sunlit stained-glass windows. As an adult, he moved to California where a close friend asked his advice on what she should do with her late husband’s 30-year, stained-glass studio. Driven by his childhood memories, Tom decided to do everything he could to save the studio. Using L. Ron Hubbard’s Administrative Technology, he took the business from a fading light to a radiantly thriving enterprise. Now, Hyland Studio faithfully restores the stained-glass windows of churches, mausoleums and Victorian residences and creates modern-day masterpieces for some of the finest homes in the San Francisco Bay Area.
