MediaBoss Television and Tunerguard Produce The Guitar Safety Institute GSA Campaign
Online, July 20, 2011 (Newswire.com) - MediaBoss Television and Jim Shippey, the inventor of Tunerguard, have created a unique campaign to promote Tunergard, a revolution in guitar tuning protection video at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show this week. The concept parodys the industrial safety videos of the 50's, while demonstrating the simple and unique design of Tunergard.
Tunerguard was created to keep guitars in tune by preventing unwanted adjustment of the tuning pegs. Tunergard easily slides over each tuning peg, encapsulating each one and eliminating contact. It premiered in 2009 at NAAM and has won rave reviews from musicians, music teachers and music storeowners since it hit the market.
"It's great to have something come to fruition like this," Shippey said of the final video and accompanying landing page www.guitarinstitute.com. "I (got the idea for the video) when I was perusing around YouTube and came across an old Industrial video."
Shippey wanted something that would turn heads at the NAMM so he hired MediaBoss Television to produce the campaign.
"I was familiar with their work," Shippey said of MediaBoss. "It was just a lot of fun. Shippey contracted a local band Wolfbane to do the acting in the spot. "They were having fun with it, there was plenty of physical humor."
MediaBoss Television producers Anthony Lewis and Jim Foster have been working with Tunerguard to distribute and promote the product for three years.
"Each year since, we continue to help promote them by creating new videos," MediaBoss Producer and Effects Director Anthony Lewis said. "When Jim Shippey pitched his idea for the latest Tunerguard video, we knew it was going to be amazing. He clearly conveyed his thoughts, and we were able to capture and produce this spot."
