MedBridge Launches New OASIS-E Comprehensive Excellence Certificate Program

Seattle-based healthcare technology company, the industry leader in OASIS training, has released a premium certificate program that allows clinicians to gain and demonstrate proficiency with OASIS-E

The MedBridge OASIS-E Comprehensive Excellence Certificate

With OASIS-E launching on Jan. 1, 2023, and so many new clinicians entering home health, organizations need an easy, effective way to train new hires and current staff on OASIS-E data collection and documentation. Because OASIS is a primary tool for determining reimbursement under HHVBP, OASIS errors are costly to organizations and can even pose a threat to patient care. Yet many OASIS training programs require staff to attend in person, or are built under a "train-the-trainer" model, which is inefficient and prone to error.

As the only comprehensive online OASIS-E certificate program currently available, the OASIS-E Comprehensive Excellence Certificate Program sets a new industry standard for OASIS education and excellence. With the program, organizations can set an expected proficiency level with OASIS-E and easily track skill acquisition. By training clinicians on OASIS-E directly and allowing them to demonstrate their proficiency after completion, the certificate program helps organizations foster a higher level of competency while raising the bar on quality and performance.

The OASIS-E Certificate Program builds on MedBridge's extensive experience providing industry-leading online OASIS training to elevate OASIS efficiency and accuracy for new hires and experienced clinicians. The program is integrated with the effective, evidence-based MedBridge OASIS Training Solution, which was designed in partnership with nationally recognized OASIS experts K&K Health Care Solutions and is shown to reduce M-item errors by 28 percent, resulting in $150 additional reimbursement per patient episode.

The certificate program covers all sections and items within OASIS-E in a concise, engaging online format. Clinicians learn how OASIS data collection impacts both patient care and agency performance, and develop competence through accredited online courses, video lectures, patient demonstrations, case-based quizzes to improve clinical reasoning, and a skills checklist to practice hands-on components of coursework.

"With the launch of OASIS-E, arguably one of the biggest industry changes in recent years, we're truly excited to be able to offer this distinctive certificate program that helps clinicians not only gain proficiency with OASIS-E but also demonstrate their expertise to create an ongoing culture of OASIS excellence," said Joseph Brence, PT, DPT, MBA, FAAOMPT, Head of Clinical Strategy at MedBridge.
