McGill Alumni Offer Consultancy Services for Organizations Looking to Advance Positive Social Impacts
Alumni of McGill's Political Science department have founded and launched an independent consulting firm providing services such as analytical and strategic support, evidence-based evaluation and monitoring, and impact assessment.
Online, April 25, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Expert researchers Dr. Bahar Akman Imboden and Hiba Agha have announced the launch of Socially Responsible Research (SRR), a partnership dedicated to conducting impactful research targeting both the nonprofit and private sectors. The company, which has offices in both the US and Canada, was founded in January 2012. SRR endeavours to use its analytical and research expertise to aid nonprofit organizations, governmental, and academic institutions, and small to medium-sized companies in answering complex questions and developing effective solutions for their respective goals.

The organization's mission is to conduct research that advances social, political, economic, environmental and cultural progress. SRR currently has offices in Montreal, Quebec, and Boston, Massachusetts, to accommodate clients on both sides of the Canada-United States border.
Dr. Bahar Akman Imboden is an expert in quantitative research methods and specializes in international relations, development, as well as global and national security. Dr. Akman has worked on various projects dealing with matters such as globalization, energy policy and legislation, nuclear non-proliferation, communications and marketing. She is a currently a fellow at the Center for Governance and Sustainability and the Center for Peace, Democracy, and Development - University of Massachusetts Boston. Dr. Akman is based out of Boston and is fluent in English, French, and Turkish.
Also a McGill alumnus, Hiba Agha earned a Masters in International Relations and is a specialist in qualitative research methods. She has had the opportunity to work directly with UN agencies and renowned NGOs such as the United Way. Her work experience has permitted her the opportunity to collaborate with governmental, non-governmental, health and education professionals. Furthermore, she has conducted research locally, nationally as well as internationally through evidence-based approaches and analyzing best practices. She is based in Montreal and is fluent in English and Arabic.
