Maurizio Marcato Receives an Honourable Mention at the MIFA 2015

Verona, Italy, November 3, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The international photographer Maurizio Marcato has received an honourable mention at the Moscow International Photo Awards 2015 (MIFA), in the category Architecture/Interiors, with a photograph taken for the communication campaign of the renowned Italian furnishing company Falper.
MIFA is a prestigious photography competition, held yearly, whose mission is to recognise, award and promote talented photographers from all over the world, and to introduce them to the creative community in Russia.

With a creative urge that began with painting and developed with the discovery of photography, Maurizio Marcato has taken shots that have received a multitude of awards worldwide. In 1979 he opened his own photographic studio in Verona, specialising in consulting services and image promotion, capturing the essence of corporate and public interest communication . Maurizio Marcato is a multi-faceted artist who works internationally, with many projects also in Japan and the USA. Maurizio Marcato’s work extends beyond corporate images, and he has also earned renown for his artistic shots, reportage photography and portraits, as well as photographs that capture the essence of architecture and landscapes, featured in a number of prestigious exhibitions. Since the 1980s, he has been working with a large number of design magazines, and in 2004 he began teaching photography at the Faculty of Design of the Polytechnic University of Milan. Recognised as among the top 10 photographers in Europe in 2015 by the Federation of European Photographers (FEP), in the last five years he has won the FEP Awards four times and the World Photography Awards once.
