Magenta's Mobile Worker App Demonstrates Dynamic Planning with Real Time Connectivity

Magenta Technology has debuted and successfully demonstrated its mobile worker Apps on the latest 7" Ruggedised TomTom PRO 8275 driver terminal to the visitors of Service Management Expo 2014.

The mobile worker App is pre-installed on the TomTom PRO 8275 device and is connected real time with Magenta's Maxoptra Service, a cloud-based dynamic planning and optimisation solution for field service businesses of all sizes.

Demonstrated at the Field Service Demo Zone, the App generated a lot of interest from many SME field service businesses, who recognised Maxoptra as a SaaS based affordable solution with intuitive features and Apps designed to efficiently plan the balance of routine and breakdown calls to prevent greater than necessary fuel expenditure, and to meet customer demand for narrow time windows and accurate arrival times.

The demonstrations showed how optimised schedules from the Maxoptra Service web-based dynamic planning solution were sent directly to the TomTom PRO 8275 driver terminal allowing mobile technicians to navigate to their jobs and report their progress in real time.

Integrating a schedule optimising service with TomTom's Pro 8275 device ensures that mobile technicians will spend less time on the road and more time using their niche skills.
