Magenta Research Introduces a Practical Digital Video Distribution Solution for Mass Transit

-
Magenta Research, a US based manufacturer of high quality
connectivity solutions has announced the development and release of a new video signal management product. T
Link is designed to work together with CATâ€7 / Level F / FA FTP (foiled twisted pair) cable to provide a reliable, cost
effective, high resolution digital video delivery solution for demanding uptimeâ€critical environments including
trains, subways and busses. Other specialized applications such as outdoor and shipboard signage will be well
served by T Link because of the system's high degree of electrical noise immunity. In addition to digital video, the
system supports remote display control and remote system status enquiry via its addressable serial
communications capability. The system configuration consists of a transmitter and one or more daisy chainable
receivers that are typically enclosed within the display assembly. "Aside from being very cost effective, T Link
relies on robust copper connectivity that, unlike delicate fiber can withstand abuse and can be field terminated.
T Link is a practical solution and provides substantially better serviceability than currently available fiber optic
solutions" according to Chris Miller, Consulting Senior Staff Scientist at Magenta Research. Magenta Research will
be introducing the T Link solution at ISE 2010 in Amsterdam this February.
