Madrid Church Plant Day
Online, August 24, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Salisbury City Church was started in 2003 by six families and has grown to around 130 people meeting together on a Sunday morning and through the week.
Just a few years later, in January 2011, church leader Kevin Bartlett will move to start a church in the city of Madrid, on the Iberian peninsula
Kevin, who is leading the church plant says "There is the great joy a benefit of being part of a family of churches on a mission together. Madrid is certainly not a well worn path for evangelical churches - but it is together that we can accomplish what we never could alone."
For this reason Salisbury City Church are holding a Madrid Day shortly before Kevin & Ness leave the UK to settle in Madrid. Anyone can come but it is primarily for those who are; a) Interested in finding out more about joining a church planting team in Madrid, or b) Loves Madrid / Spain and interested in serving a Madrid Team through prayer and support.
The Madrid Day on 20th November will be a fusion of worship, vision, prayer, fellowship and, of course, some food! We expect it to be a significant day in the development of a church plant in Madrid.
The Bartletts will move to Spain in January 2011. More details of the plans for Madrid can be found at Salisbury City Church Madrid.
Salisbury City Church is part of the Newfrontiers family of churches.
