Falls Church resident Lynn Gaubatz is being honored as a "Woman of Worth" by L'Oreal Paris for her work helping schools and libraries through her website AdoptALibrary.org.

AdoptALibrary.org encourages and facilitates the donation of books to tribal colleges, reservations, prisons and schools across the nation and around the world.

As one of ten honorees, Lynn gets $5,000 donated to the charity of her choice, and $5,000 donated in her name to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).

Lynn's chosen charity is So Others Might Eat (SOME), an interfaith, community-based organization that helps the hungry and homeless of Washington, DC.

"Last winter was so brutal and the holiday season is bleak for so many, that to have this donation go to SOME is going to be a real godsend," says Lynn. "I hope people will vote to donate the extra $25,000 to SOME, too. We can really ALL make a difference this winter!"

From November 8 - 24 there will be an online vote. L'Oreal Paris is giving $25,000 more to the chosen charity of the winner of this vote.

To vote to give the $25,000 to the hungry and homeless of Washington, DC, click on "Vote" on lynngaubatz.com or adoptalibrary.org.

One vote per email address. The honoree with the most votes will be named National Honoree.

All ten Women of Worth honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony and dinner hosted by Hearst Magazines and L'Oreal Paris at the Hearst Towers in New York City on December 9th. The National Honoree will be announced at the event.
