A resident of North San Diego, Kim – sponsored by Hana Bank, Titleist, and PING – holds four major titles since her debut in 2007, with nearly $6.5 million in earnings. More recently, the golf pro birdied a five-stroke victory at ISPS Handa European Master on the Ladies European Tour in July; and finished a close second at LPGA Portland Classic in August, by one shot – making her a fierce competitor. Kim is slated to compete in both the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia and LPGA KEB/HanaBank Championship in October. Aside from her tournament commitments, Kim also serves as a spokesperson and mentor for the Special Olympics.
“I started playing [golf] when I was 9, and qualified for the LPGA professional tour in 2006,” recalls Kim. “I love this game, and Studio 2055 has allowed me to focus on just that. I wanted to uncover my personal brand to better connect myself with those causes that have meaning for me; I’m able to focus more on my game and charity outreach as a result.”
Having partnered with Kim since early spring, Studio 2055 has grown her fan base 452 percent within a two-month timespan, and will be officially launching her new website [ikkimgolf.com], Sept. 10.
Known for their talents and acumen regarding branding development, content and social marketing, as well as design, Studio 2055 has logged more than 20 years of experience on the San Diego fairways; in partnering with notables TaylorMade Golf and Reebok, the agency has honed market insight on what players experience. And in utilizing a proprietary BEV™ Quest process to launch campaigns and products, their success rate in positioning and elevating their clients’ status speaks for itself.
