Loyaltyworks and Clients Pitch in to Agape Atlanta's Great Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway
With the help of generous employee and client donations, Loyaltyworks was able to contribute over 100 baskets to Agape's Great Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway in order to help Atlanta's disadvantaged.
2299 Perimeter Park Drive, #150 , November 26, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Atlanta-based incentive program provider Loyaltyworks teamed up with Agape Atlanta once again for a great cause. This summer, Loyaltyworks participated in Agape’s Great Backpack Giveaway and, thanks to charitable donations from clients, the drive was a success. Due to the positive response to Agape’s causes, Loyaltyworks was excited to make the Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway part of their regular holiday charity activities. Once again, working with clients and Agape proved to be a great strategy for Loyaltyworks, yielding over 100 Thanksgiving baskets donated to Atlanta’s underprivileged families.
“We decided to contribute to the Great Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway because we’ve been building a partnership with them now for two years,” says Justin Rieling, event coordinator at Loyaltyworks. “Everyone here has become familiar with the Agape name now and they know Agape stands for great causes.”
Based in Atlanta, GA, Loyaltyworks is part of the Incentive Solutions Group of Companies (comprised of Incentive Solutions, Loyaltyworks and Travel Solutions), and provides online incentive programs and technology to help our clients track sales channel distribution, increase sales, foster customer loyalty, and instate employee reward programs.
“Just as with the Backpack Giveaway, we asked clients and internal employees to donate,” says Ashley Lodge, Associate Account Manager and head of the Care Committee at Loyaltyworks. “Our goal was to donate at least 30 baskets, with Loyaltyworks leaders agreeing to match the amount we were able to raise.” Employees and clients donated digital points from their online reward program earnings, which the Loyaltyworks Care Committee was able to redeem for items to fill Thanksgiving baskets. Generous client contributors included Legend Brands, provider of restoration and cleaning products for contractors; CertainTeed, a Saint-Gobain subsidiary specializing in interior and exterior building products; and Chace Building Supply, a full service lumber and building materials company.
By taking advantage of grocery specials and deals, Loyaltyworks maximized the purchases they were able to make. “We ended up with a sizable budget and we spent everything we could,” says Rieling. “Publix helped us out tremendously with their buy-one-get-one-free offers. They even honored generic pricing for many name-brand items.”
Altogether, the grand total of baskets Loyaltyworks was able to donate to the Great Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway was 114.
For more than five years, Agape Youth & Family Center, in partnership with with The Lovett School, has been serving nearly 5,500 of Atlanta’s families. “This year’s Great Thanksgiving Basket Give-Away provided turkeys and hens for a fantastic meal to 754 families,” says Chaz Chapman, Event Coordinator at Agape Atlanta. “As each year passes, more people attend this event and thus, more families have access to a Thanksgiving meal.”
As a successful company in the Atlanta area, Loyaltyworks believes in giving back to the city in which it thrives. In addition to helping businesses and industries prosper with innovative incentive ideas, Loyaltyworks is committed to cultivating a company culture that stands for getting involved and improving the local Atlanta community.
