Lotus Bank Supports Main Street League

Online, June 7, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Community involvement is one of the cornerstones on which Lotus Bank has built its business. We routinely donate to local charities and our employees gladly volunteer their time to help with local causes. Recently, Lotus Bank showed its support for another community focused organization.

Main Street League hosted its 2nd Annual Women's Kickball Tournament at the beginning of this month to raise money for the local food bank Northville Civic Concern. Lotus Bank Personal Banker Aida Salari volunteered her time on a Sunday to help with the event. We also served as a financial sponsor.

All in all, the group raised over $14,000, which was a large increase from the previous year's fundraiser. The money will help keep the food bank stocked through the summer months to help Detroit area families in need.

Main Street League is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping address the charitable needs of the Southeast Michigan community. The organization donates time and money to various groups and causes throughout the year, but always prides itself on keeping its volunteers and donations focused locally. That's certainly a value that Lotus Bank and its employees can relate to.

The event took place on June 1 at Ford Field in Northville. It featured five kickball teams of women from local businesses and organizations competing for the championship, along with fun activities for children, live music, food and drinks.
