Local Football Club Gets Boost For Summer Fundraiser
Online, June 30, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Stockton-on-Tees based, Hardwick Youth junior football club, is getting a helping hand to raise the needed £6,000 for two sets of goal posts, thanks to a donation from leading pay weekly retail and consumer finance company, Buy As You View.
Buy As You View (BAYV) has donated an LCD flat screen television with a DVD player to the football club, which will be used as the main raffle prize at a fun day fundraiser in August.
Hardwick Youth football club, is solely funded by parents and charitable donations. The club is made up of players from 8 to 17 years old who have all helped with fundraising activities in the past, which include summer fun day events, horse racing events and raffle ticket sales which are sold throughout the year.
One team player's mother and BAYV customer, Tracy Walker, said: "I have been a Buy As You View customer for years and first heard of the Community Fund in the company's catalogue. Seeing the support they had given so many other causes made me realise that our club could benefit from the fund and so I contacted them. We are very grateful for the TV and are overwhelmed that we can offer such an impressive prize for the raffle. This TV will definitely help us sell more raffle tickets which will of course help raise more money for the club."
Buy As You View communications manager, Rachel Morris, comments: "Donating to the Hardwick Youth football club has given us the opportunity to show our support in the communities in which we operate. We are really pleased that the donation will help raise the needed funds for new goal posts and we wish the club the very best in future fundraising activities."
Buy As You View continues to help the communities that it is part of with its Community Fund scheme. For more information please visit www.bayv.co.uk. For more great articles, please visit www.buyasyouviewblog.co.uk.
