Local Ann Arbor Dealership Stocks Truck of Year Award-Winner Ford F-150
Online, April 12, 2012 (Newswire.com) - After a myriad of tests, challenges, and objective style rankings, Truckin' Magazine has awarded the 2012 Ford F-150 FX2 as the half-ton pickup "Truck of the Year". With a stylized body design, Varsity Ford of Ann Arbor is positive that pickup truck lovers will find favor with this new F-150.
Truckin' Magazine went so far as to say that "Ford stepped up to the plate and hit a grand slam with the EcoBoost F-150 FX2". Editor Maxwell Matthewson continued "They gave the consumer everything they wanted in one package: impeccable styling, remarkable performance, and gas mileage that doesn't punch you in the guy at the fuel pump."
For those drivers that like to further customize the looks of their pickup trucks, Ford is offering a new FX Appearance Package which features matte-black accents and red tailgate badges to match the red stitching on the steering wheel. Black leather adorns the seating surfaces with red accents to complete the theme throughout this top truck. If customers opt for more comfort Ford also offers the FX Luxury Package which has cooled and heated front seats.
The F-150 didn't become the Truck of the Year simply by out-classing rivals with style; it also boasts 22 miles per gallon highway which is superior to the fullsize V6 and V8 competition as well as many midsize pickups with V6 engines. Although the 2012 Ford F-150 gets great gas mileage don't think for a second that it doesn't have the horsepower to get the job done in any situation. The 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine pumps out a monstrous 365 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque for efficient towing and hauling. Regardless of what the job the F-150 EcoBoost is up for the challenge.
Winning the Truckin' Magazine half-ton shootout was nothing new for Ford's incredible F-150 seeing as though it has won 9 other awards just this year including Motor Trend's Truck of the Year, Cars.com's Work Truck of the Year, and Motor Week's Drivers' Choice Award.
