Livedress.com Launches a Communications Toolkit for Fashion Designers, Helping Them Build Their Customer Base

Livedress.com, the social network site for the fashion community, announced the launch of a specialized communications toolkit to help fashion designers connect with fashion lovers globally and build their customer base.

Livedress.com [http://www.livedress.com], the social network site for the fashion community, announced the launch of a specialized communications toolkit to help fashion designers connect with fashion lovers globally. The company has built a suite of customized tools that enable publicists to connect, engage, and build a loyal following of fashion lovers - helping them to increase sales of their merchandise. The toolkit is free for fashion designers to access and utilize.

"We launched the Livedress platform to connect fashion lovers around the world and we quickly discovered the fashion designers were utilizing the network to build their audience," explains Livedress founder Jonathan Davids. "So we decided to build out our capabilities by developing efficient ways for them to do that. Now a fashion designer can create an account, upload photos of their collection, and share that with their network. We've made it easy to keep in close communication with an existing customer base and grow that base every day."

To use the service, fashion designers first need to create a style profile on Livedress. Once the profile is up, they can use the Livedress service to distribute merchandise collections, new designs, runway videos, news pieces, updates, and more. Items can quickly be shared with your own personal network using Livedress' proprietary social engine.

When users find content they like, they can choose to 'follow' that designer. This makes it quick for talented designers to build a network.

In developing this suite of services, the Livedress team interviewed fashion designers to gauge where the company could add the most value to a designers' role. The key discovery was in helping to manage and distribute new collections, in a way that makes them viral. It is critical that designers are able to get their looks out quickly to keep their network engaged.

The Livedress platform behaves like a fully integrated social network. Aside from designers, retailers and stylists have come on board. Current brands using the service include fashion retailers Macy's and Nordstrom, Hollywood stylists Anya Sarre and Alissia Marciano, and even the world's top fashion bloggers such as 'julieg713' who has a YouTube audience of 260,000.

"It is critical for designers to integrate social media into their PR strategy," says Mr. Davids, the company's 27-year-old founder. "This is where fashion lovers are browsing, discovering, and buying, each and every day."

The company will continue to role out new services in the coming months, aimed at making content more social, engaging, and personalized.
