Life Sciences Collaborative Event Scheduled for March 6, 2014

Online, January 28, 2014 (Newswire.com) - To promote connectivity among leaders in emerging life sciences business in the Mid-Atlantic Region, veteran industry executives and service providers from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors have come together to form the Life Sciences Collaborative (LSC).

"Our goal is to advance professional development and business growth in the life sciences in the Mid-Atlantic Region," said LSC co-founder Bob Fesnak. "We need to increase collaboration among and across market segments and the LSC will facilitate these interactions."

The LSC will host its inaugural event, From Start-up to Exit: Lessons for Success, on March 6, 2014, at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. The event is designed to provide a forum to communicate experiential learnings from regional industry veterans about building, financing, operating, and exiting a life sciences company, as well as networking opportunities among industry leaders. Steve Kantor, LSC co-founder, explained that the program will "bring together entrepreneurs with veterans who have overcome problems and achieved success to create a dialogue on how to best tackle challenges based on the experiences of others."

The Keynote Speaker for the event is Richard Caruso, PhD, Founder and Chairman of Integra Life Sciences. The event will be conducted in a conversational armchair setting with three facilitated panel discussions.
