Liberty March On Washington D C

Online, July 31, 2013 (Newswire.com) - As the future of United States debt looks increasingly uncertain, analysts around the world wonder how will the country deal with these debt levels and swelling budget deficits and if the national government could actually go bankrupt. Amidst such uncertainties, Tony Christ has taken the lead to form a group and ask the policy makers to sign off the burden of mounting debt on future generations of United States of America. The campaign invites more members and wants to reach a critical mass for successful Liberty March.

The core of this debt problem dates back to early 2000 when George W. Bush's high concerns for national security caused the USA to enter two massive wars. These wars, called 'fights against terrorism', gobbled huge amounts of money and it is estimated that the country spent around $1 trillion a year on both the wars. The total debt amount has been increasing over $500 billion per year since 2003 and more recently in 2008 and 2009 it grew by $1 trillion and $1.9 trillion respectively.

According to Tony Christ, another matter of concern for servicing the debt is the payment of interest on this mammoth amount. As per estimates the interest payment in financial year 2009 and 2010 reached almost $280 billion and if it continues at this rate, it would reach an astonishing $840 billion.

Simple math reveals that at current rate, for a child born in year 2010, the debt pressure would increase from $29,178 to $166,500 by the time he/she is 30 years old. This would be an increase of 471 percent.

The only solution now is to make a petition and put a stop to this colossal problem. The Liberty March led by Tony Christ aims to initiate the same.
