LEAF® Vodka Continues Gains Industry Accolades At WSWA
Online, June 20, 2014 (Newswire.com) - This year's Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America [WSWA] 71st Annual Convention was a breakout event for Global Spirits, the makers of LEAF® Vodka with several major awards. LEAF Vodkas received awards for their exceptional quality and taste. LEAF® Vodka made from Rocky Mountain Mineral Water received a Double Gold Medal, and LEAF® Vodka made from Alaskan Glacial Water was awarded a Silver Medal. Each product had to receive a unanimous individual ranking by the spirits panel in a blind judging competition for this recognition. Judges were hand selected by The Tasting Panel Magazine.
In addition, LEAF Vodka was also awarded the Hot, New, Now Media Award for their innovative booth presentation, overall product design and innovation at the convention.
"LEAF Vodka's most distinguishing characteristic is its main ingredient, water, which is the spirit of vodka and shapes its taste, character and finish," stated Julius Criscione, national sales and marketing director for Megapolis USA, the American subsidiary for Global Spirits. "These awards validate our brand proposition and provide a strong foundation to build upon."
According to George Mayorov, CEO of Global Spirits, "The receipt of the Hot, New, Now, Media Award is consistent with the positive feedback we received from our meetings at WSWA and reflects the innovative culture at Global Spirits."
These accolades follow several recent awards including a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition; a Silver medal at the International Spirits Challenge [ISC] 2014, and a score of 90 from the 2014 Ultimate Spirits Challenge for LEAF Vodka made from Alaskan Glacial Water. LEAF Vodka made from Rocky Mountain Water also received a Silver medal from the ISC as well as a score of 90 from the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
Of the two LEAF Vodka products, Alaskan Glacial Water lends a pure, smooth taste with a hint of grapefruit peel. The other, Rocky Mountain Mineral Water provides a darker and subtle richness, finishing with a warm and savory impression*.
