Lori Key, former designer at Vogue and Martha Stewart, launches Lawsey, the company she founded to offer her handmade home decor. Its signature collection is available at https://lawsey.com/shop-lawsey/category/signature-collection/.

The line includes pieces in trending styles — such as modern farmhouse, boho chic and cozy “hygge" minimalism — that also maintain a timeless aesthetic grounded in traditional design principles. Its floral wreaths, greenery planter arrangements and tabletop accents coordinate easily with each other as well with a wide variety of decor schemes.

Lawsey's timeless pieces are produced by hand with care, attention and my exacting eye for design so that anyone can create a home that they'll never want to leave.

The themes of the new line are soft greenery and textured neutrals. Permanent botanical greenery items include large and small grapevine wreaths, candle rings and napkin rings in frosted eucalyptus and two draping arrangements, one of eucalyptus vine and the other of trailing succulents, both in French provincial galvanized garden planters with distressed-paint finishes in gray-and-white and black-and-cream colorways. Textured neutrals include large and small wreaths, candle rings and napkin rings featuring a grapevine garland with off-white pip beads.

Lawsey’s decor pieces are designed to add style and coziness to home settings, either individually or paired together. The neutral colors, natural textures and touches of greenery are easy to mix and match while also slipping effortlessly into any interior design schemes. The versatility of the signature line reflects Lawsey’s mission — as stated in its tagline “Love to come home” — of making sure that coming home is always a welcome sight that delights.

Before launching Lawsey, based in South Carolina’s coastal Lowcountry where she resides, Key worked in New York City as assistant editor for four years at American Craft magazine, design associate for four years at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and at Condé Nast Publications where she was a graphic designer in its corporate offices for three years as well as senior designer at its flagship magazine, Vogue, for three more. She additionally worked its other titles including Self, House & Garden, Domino and Lucky, where she was art director until she left New York for her native South.

“It’s a great honor to be able to use my creative background to produce quality handmade items for my clients to display in their homes. I am able to take the high visual standards I learned while working at some of the top shelter and fashion magazines and apply them to my line of home decor,” says Lawsey founder Lori Key. “Whatever you have in your home, which is your personal sanctuary, is seen every day. As an avowed homebody, I surround myself with objects that beckon you to look and linger. Lawsey’s timeless pieces are produced by hand with care, attention and my exacting eye for design so that anyone can create a home that they’ll never want to leave.“
