Launch of Knowledge Safari
Online, January 27, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Phoenix, AZ January 26, 2010 --- Social networking and review site being launched January 26, 2010 by Marci Hersh and Joshua Simon. Former classroom teacher and current Educational Consultant, Marci Hersh has worked primarily with students who have special needs including intellectual disabilities, autism, medical conditions and others. Marci was often asked by parents of her students what other parents did in certain scenarios, who was the best doctor for a particular disorder, which restaurant was best for a child needing a gluten free diet, did she have any tips for traveling with a child who has special needs, if their child with autism behaved like other children with autism, etc. She would always find the answer for them but thought that it would be useful for parents to be able to talk directly to one another. Thus began the development of Knowledge Safari - a new social networking site directly geared for parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts/uncles, teachers and friends of children who have special needs and those living with special needs themselves. Families and those living with special needs often report feeling isolated and disconnected - knowledgesafari.com aims to change that by creating a space for people to connect, discover and share with each other in order to find friends navigating similar paths, ask questions and find answers - as well as share in the everyday victories of each other's lives! Joshua Simon brings his business experience to the company and will be involved in the advertising, promotion and development of the site.
