Latino Community Fund Announces Health & Wellbeing Initiative in Partnership with Consulate General of Mexico

The Ventanilla de Salud program is a crucial resource for the Mexican and Latinamerican community in Georgia Alabama, and Tennessee, providing health education, guidance, navigation preventive screenings to thousands of people every year.

Ventanillas de Salud Program Collaboration

LCF Georgia, recognizing the critical importance of binational collaboration to address challenges in health access from the Latino community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, is excited to announce a partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico through the Ventanillas de Salud program with the common purpose improving the physical and mental well-being of Mexicans living in Georgia and the Latino community at large.

The Ventanillas de Salud program will focus on facilitating navigation, increasing access to primary and preventive services, providing quality and culturally sensitive education and information, and strengthening current partnerships and collaborations with other local culturally appropriate service and program providers services dedicated to equitable access to healthcare. 

Immediately, the program will begin a campaign against COVID-19 vaccine misinformation and myths rampant in the Latino community.

Since 2004, Ventanillas de Salud has served thousands of individuals and families through valuable collaborations. The program is part of a national network of 51 ventanillas across the country.

Our main goal is to guide, support and strengthen the Mexican and Latin American community of this region"
